Days ago, with slow hook hoist of large sea crane at the pier of DSIC No.2 Factory, the last piece of trussed beam for main bridge in the Dalian south coastal road was shipped aboard out of factory, undertaken by DSIC Equipment Co.. Up to now, DSIC Equipment Co. has accomplished block fabrication and assembly mission for the trussed beam on schedule successfully, which shows the company has had capability in holistic fabrication, assembly and hoist for large steel trussed-beam bridge engineering, and boosted its influence and reputation in this field greatly.
The total bridge length is 2585.8m in the project of Dalian south coastal road, whose main bridge consists of 43 trusses, each single truss with 20m long, 24m wide and 10m high, weighing about 600 tons. The quantity of high-strength bolts even amounts to 430,000 sets for the whole bridge, weighing 600 tons, where DSIC Equipment Co. undertook partial material procurement, fabrication, coating, transport and site installation for such steel structure. In the end of 2013, the company refined the assembling technical proposal and figured out the details of each process in accordance with the building features of this project. With a 9-month hard work, the assembly task of 25 truss blocks was done when it began to hoist for erection at the site of bridge location, for which the tolerance for all erections has been controlled within the high-standard precision requirements of 2mm. In late August 2014, the joint inspection team of project headquarter, design house, chief inspection office, third party supervising unit and site supervising unit as well conducted the site acceptance check and as-built documentation review on the first 23 blocks built by the company in a strict and careful way, only to find that this batch of truss blocks is in full compliance with relevant standards, regulations and requirements of fabricating specifications, ready for dispatching out of factory.
Up to the end of last year, DSIC Equipment Co. had completed the assembly and final erection of all truss blocks ahead of schedule, where the last batch of 10 blocks had acquired the acceptance of joint inspection team exempted from inspection, allowed for direct hoist to dispatch out of factory. At the next phase, DSIC Equipment Co. will transfer key jobs to the site of bridge location so as to fully guarantee the project construction schedule to carry forward smoothly.
